Menstrual cups! Ever heard of them? They changed my life, that's for sure. A $40 piece of medical grade silicon made sure this heavy bleeder was taken care of during her period! It's a shame I didn't have them earlier in High school. I'm going on 4 years use of menstrual cups now, and you wont change my mind.
Pro's-
*Reusable! Save the planet! A menstrual cup can last up to 5 years
*Affordable- Considering I used a box of 40 each menstrual cycle of super plus tampons- $9box/12 months=$108. Not to mention at least 5 new pair of panties yearly, leaking was so bad. And my undies are Victoria secret. My lady bits deserve the best! I only wear black/dark panties during that week.
*No leaking! If worn correctly, nothing goes in or out, unless you don't change it once it's completely full.
Great for heavy bleeders- You can wear it up to 12 hrs!!! It collects so much more than a pad or tampon can absorb. My heaviest days I still have to change it every 3-4 hours. but that's way better than once an hour. Some new menstrual cups even have a valve option.
*Swimming! Because the menstrual cup is silicon, unlike a tampon, it won't absorb anything as you swim. Happy Vagina! This means you can go #1 AND #2 without needing to empty/change the cup. Before the cup I'd have to change a tampon every time I used the bathroom, sanitation reasons!

Con's-
The only thing I've found you can't do is Sky Zone. (For those of you who don't know what that is, its an indoor trampoline theme park!) I was on a date, showed off with a flip and when stuck my almost perfect landing, I felt it... 3-4 hrs of flow gush into my underwear all at once. I ran to the bathroom, and took care of business, but learned that my vagina muscles pushed it completely out while jumping. Dang lady, I see you!
For the sake of sounding like a commercial I'll stop there. Because I'm not sponsored, or getting paid for this. But I'll never go back to a pad or tampon. Menstrual cups for life! Hazaaa! Who else has tried them? Wants to try them? Favorite brands? Coupon codes! Sharing is caring.... unless less its HIV/AIDS. (bad bloody humor!) haaaa
